She sounds like a normal newborn to me. The first 6-8 weeks of BFing are like 'bootcamp' for nursing. It is relentless. Once you hit that 8 week mark things get easier and you are not nursing 24/7. A newborns tummy is only the size of a walnut and BM has no "filler" like formula does, so all of it is easily digestable. She may very well be having her 3-week growthspurt given her age. During growspurts they nurse more often than not, even the non-nutritive sucking is necessary to boost your supply- pacifers and bottles during a growthspurt may very well cause a good nursing relationship to encounter some rocky ground.
Hang in there.....the first 6-8 weeks of intensitity are normal newborn behavior and once you weather this 'storm' you will reap the benefits the rest of your nursing relationship.
