Default Sarah "Addison" has arrived............(baby, birth story ment)

and she was in a really big hurry!

Our little lady arrived on August 30th, at 4:36pm in our home....delivered by her Daddy! I'd been having contractions here and there for two days and some light bleeding. I was checked by my midwife the 29th and was just shy of 3cm along. The next day I went for a 2 mile walk, to the grocery store with my in-laws and then came home and took a nap until about 3:15pm. I was having more contractions, but still about 15 minutes apart. I talked with my brother-in-law on the phone, tried to decide if I should call my friend who was going to bake brownies with me to "distract me from labor", then decided to take a bath. Contractions got closer, about 3 minutes apart, but still erratic. Within minutes I got a jolting urge to go to the bathroom. Went in and it happened again. Screamed for my husband and he came in, looked at me and saw the baby's head starting to come out. He got me to lay down, had my father-in-law call 911, and him and my mother in law helped me. The 911 operator told them to tell me not to push, right around the time her head came completely out. So we were committed at that point! After a brief pause we delivered the shoulders and out she came into the world into Daddy's hands.

It was a scary experience not knowing if something was wrong, but it all worked out and she is perfect. Apgar scores were 10's. She weighs 7 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches long. Dh will be on the birth certificate credited with the delivery

We were transported by ambulance (side note, my husband grabbed a curtain instead of a blanket, so I went wrapped in that ) and then spent the usual two days there.

All said and done, it was a very easy birth. And natural...like I wanted, but with a bit of a twist. Only a tiny tear, which is much better than I had it with Wyatt!

So we are all doing well. I'll try to get pictures up real soon, it is finally starting to quiet down here now.

Big brother Wyatt is doing well, getting used to it all. I've got some pretty funny quotes I'll also post in a bit that could only come from the mouth of a 2 1/2 year old.
