Re: New here
Thanks! I really am not sure how long I have been hypo..I am assuming that during my pregnancy my thyroid was fine because I know they test that..although I did have preterm labor which I've heard can be a sign of being hypo. After I had the baby I thought I was just tired from being up a few times each night and breastfeeding. I assumed the brain fog was part of being so tired. Then last month I noticed I was getting really moody and am not normally like that at all, so I knew something was up, I thought it was hormonal. I am so glad I found out because I already feel better though I know my levels are still not low enough, I still get "foggy" throughout the day but before it was all day and way worse. My ob/gyn tested my tsh last Thursday but I don't expect the numbers to have changed much as I had only been on the synthroid for like 8 days at that point. My regular doctor wants to see me again in 3 weeks to retest my levels and see if I need a higher dosage. Its nice that this board is here so I know I am not alone in how I was feeling..I was starting to think it was just me and maybe I was depressed or something!
