Default Re: New here

I've been treated for hypothyroidism for about 5 years. My main sxs was feeling sad and getting upset easily. When I was dxs my tsh was 19.5. I was suspicious of my thyroid since 8-9 months earlier I had a parathyroid nodule removed which took a tiny piece of my thyroid. My pcp said that the tsh is one test she always runs when someone complains of depression.

I keep it around 1 now and feel best at that level. I can tell when it starts to creep up around 3 or 4. Brain fog is the biggest sign for me.

My tsh fluctuates often. I think it's seasonal. I just went hyper a month ago as we changed my meds before my last ivf cycle since I was hypo and needed a change asap.

When I go hyper is when I feel shortness of breath. This last time I felt more of an overwhelming feeling such as I have so much to do, but I can't decide where to start. I also get tired in the evenings (swinging hyper) since I was so energetic in the daytime.

I think your sxs are typical. I also can get intolerance to cold. I seem to have that now so I'm not sure what's up with that. I usually feel a lot better quickly once my meds are changed.

My endocrinologist likes to see TSH levels of 1-2 when TTC and pregnant.
Mine does as well. I prefer 1.
