Default The REAL introduction thread!

Hi, I'm Jennifer, your new host! I also host the Food Allergies board on Toddler to Teen and will have a lot of the same info on both boards, but will try to keep this board more focused on safe foods and recipes, etc. AJ will be 3 next month and has dealt w/ dairy, soy, and egg issues. He can now have anything except straight cow's milk or soy milk. He did well w/ his last soy milk challenge w/ reflux (which he's never had except w/ soy) being the only symptom. We'll do dairy again after his birthday. Not that it matters b/c he'll stay on rice milk b/c it's safe for Evan. Evan is 16.5 mos and my problem child. He's currently on Neocate and apples, bananas, rice, and pears and we're trialling white potatoes now (which he's failed in the past). He was bf for 12 mos while I was on a strict diet, but we realized it wasn't strict enough and now he's thriving on the Neocate! He has known problems w/ dairy, soy, egg, wheat, potatoes, squash, mango, peas, turkey, carrots, celery, and I'm sure I'm missing something! lol Let's just say his body doesn't like food in general. I'm trying to branch out lately to find more safe foods for him so hopefully this board will help me in my search. He did have a great birthday cake though that he tolerated that was dairy, soy, egg, wheat, nut, and gluten free! It was actually really good. We're expecting again in November and we're hoping for an allergy free girl!
