Things my children taught me (or what being a mom taught me):
1. I am only human; I have and know my limits but my children have yet to discover them
2. I like watching Baby Einstein and Blue`s Clues much better than watching Barney
3. There is no such thing as taking
every stain out of something
4. Cooking and caring for a toddler should never coincide
5. I don`t have all the answers (that`s why we have Google!)
6. Having sticky floors is the norm, not the exception
7. Planning dinner parties (or other adult activities) should never be undertaken with children around
8. I never never never not think or not worry about my children
9. I hate my husband at times because we sometimes have differences in childrearing or I`m just plain exhausted and ill tempere, and that`s o.k. (nobody`s perfect)
10. There is
nothing like the look I get of love, contentement and animation in the eyes of Claire when I come home from work.
11. No matter how tired, grumpy or feed up I am, I would defend and protect my children with every cell of my body.
12. I make sure my kids go to bed happy and that I`ve heard all their adventures of the day and listened to their woes so that they can sleep peacefully and comforted.
I could go on and on (as you can tell I`m sure
) but the bottom line is, there are days when I wish being a mom was easier but I have to remember that I`m not perfect and neither are my children but the love and attachment I feel towards them makes it the best experience in the world, KWIM
