Well, Taren's father, Michael and I have had a bumpy relationship from day one. We live about 50 miles away in different states. When I was about 7 months pg with Taren, I found out that he had been cheating on me with some chick he had been on and off again with for 5 year prior to us meeting. We tried to make it work, but ended up breaking up for good a couple of months after my son was born.

Over they years, he had been trying to get back with me, but I wasn't feeling it or him. Then he started being a father to our son and that started changing my feelings for him. I found it very attractive. So this past March, I decided to give him another chance.

Things had been going okay for a few months, but then the miles started to wear on me. He didn't want to move out here to be with us, just be content to have a bedroom in his Mama's house (this is a 41 year old man to boot!). He was supposed to get a job here where I work back in September (his sister is my supervisor), but for whatever reasons, it didn't work out. He didn't get the job, but I did. He refused to come out here to look for a job. He refused to make any kind of commitment to me or our son. He even refused to talk about commitment.

Then his visits out here got shorter and shorter until the last time he was out here was back in October. Oh yeah, I has mentioned to him numerous times over the summer that I had wanted to get back into the Bible. Before I had met him I was very much into the Bible. I didn't want to live this life anymore. I wanted marriage and a commitment.

Well, I finally decided that I had to get back to what I knew was right. I told him right after Christmas that I was getting back into the Bible and was going back to "no sex before marriage." I already knew he wasn't going to be cool with that.

So, to this day, I have yet to hear a word from him. Not that I'm looking for him to, but if he still had feelings for me, you'd think there would be at least one, "Tanya, what's going on?!" But no. He hasn't even called to talk to his son! His sister has told him to call Taren plenty of times. His mother has too.

I feel like he had maybe gone back to his old straying ways and when I ended things, he felt free to continue with a guilt free concious. That's cool with me.
