De-lurking to say that we have signed with Rohan, though not as much as we probably should have, and if anything I think it has aided his verbal development. He has over 35 spoken words at 17 months, and uses a few phrases too. As Rohan started using verbal language more we started using signs less, but he and I still sign milk for when he wants to nurse.
