This is a really old thread but I'll reply anyway, I had a normal thyroid before getting pregnant and during the last two months of my pregnancy I did get hypothyroidism. I started gaining weight rapidly and was more exhausted than I ought to have been at 7 months along. By rapidly I mean, I had only gained about 15 lbs up to the 7th month then suddenly gained about 3-5 lbs per week! I was so lethargic that I couldn't get out of bed too long for being just pooped! I was tested several times to monitor things after that diagnosis until his birth and did take synthroid. After my son was born I was told to stop taking it at the hospital. At my two week post partum appt I was tested again and it was fine, again at my 6 week post partum I was also fine. So thats my story.
