Icon10 Well, He couldn't wait either!

Hi Girlies!

As you probably will have guessed from the title and my absence over the last week, my little munchkin arrived early at 35wks + days exactly like his older brother! My waters broke on the same day and they were delievered on the same day.

The on/off slight contractions were a tell tale sign, but as I woke at 06:30 last Thursday morning & got up to use the bathroom, I noticed that my waters had already broken, but as I was lying down it hadnt gushed! We all got up, I got my hospital bag ready, then I woke Christopher to get him ready for nursery & DH let work know he wasnt going to be in.

We all had breakfast and left. Took DS to Little Bunnies and headed for the hospital. They came in checked and put me on a monitor. After monitoring for a few hours, nothing was happening. The only thing the monitor showed was very slight contractions that never amounted to anything.

Friday morning they said if I really wanted to wait they could for a couple of hours more except the chances are it was going to be a c-section anyway! I just wanted it over and done with. Went in and got my spinal Epi & so they started the section. I dont think the Epi worked very well as I could feel them cutting, it wasnt painful just that I could feel their hands inside. This completely freaked me out and at that point I could only imagine that the feelings were going to get worse, so I asked for a general.

Anderson Ediz was born 10:20 am on Friday 7th October 2005, weighing in at 6lbs 13oz, 49cm long with a head cir 35cm. his apgars were 8 & 9! He looks like a replica of Christopher except with black hair!

Recovery took a little longer as I had the general as well, Finally managed to leave hospital last night about 10pm.

Although, I didnt get the VBAC that I wanted, I got a healthy little chap and for that I'm greatful, I will try and get the pics up as soon as possible. I'm also happy to report that dispite after the first two days being bottle fed we started breastfeeding saturday afternoon and all is going well so far.

My nipples are very sore at the moment but I'm trying to overcome that as soon as possible and would appreciate any idea's you gals have!

I've had a very full and tiring day today so I'm off to hit the sack now it's 2.30am, I'm gonna try and check in tomorrow with hopefully have some pictures for you gal pals

P.s how ae you pg bellies doing?
