Sign reduces the frustration babies experience when they are learning to speak. Often people mistake screaming and tantrums for speech.

Signing with my son did NOT delay verbal output. In fact, first sign and first word were within a week of each other. And even tho his signs drifted away, his vocab is still above norm.
