Hi gals,
I'm coming up for air!

The twins are doing great. I'm still unable to upload any pictures on my growthspurts site which is really bumming me out. I want to share my pictures with you so desperately. I guess I'm being force fed a lesson in patience.
They must be going through another growth spurt as they seem to be feeding non stop. My breasts are so SORE!!! (Sorry TMI!) I can't believe that on the 8th they will be a month old! Time is going by so quickly. Its been wonderful though. And I know soon they are going to be big and I will miss the tiny babes they once were.
This upcoming week is going to be busy. Tomorrow I go into the denist office to have a temp crown put in. In my last month of PG I started feeling sensitivity to cold. Looks like I have a crack. They say it is common for women who are PG to have problems with their teeth. Bummer because I use to have perfect teeth prior to being PG. No cavities, no fillings etc. Then a month after becoming PG I had a cracked tooth that ended up absessed... had a root canal done on it and then an extraction. Now I have this other tooth that happened in the last month. I'll be getting a temporary crown placed. If it solves my problem, I'll have a permanent crown placed. If it doesn't, then I'm probably looking at a root canal. Oh joy!
On Tuesday, I go in to consult with a surgeon. While PG, I had a terrible bout of carpal tunnel and tendonitis. The only fix is surgery. I met with my PCP on Friday and she called in a favor with her surgeon friend. He called me up at home that afternoon and set up the consult with me for this Tuesday. We had a wonderful phone conversation. He seems so awesome... down to Earth. He and his wife just had a baby not long ago so he is very sensitive to my plight and willing to work hard to get me right in. Later that afternoon he called me back himself to say he just learned that one of his patients cancelled their surgery and he had a Wednesday slot open for me if I wanted it. Said this kind of thing never happens and usually people don't get in that fast. This I'm very aware of so I accepted his gracious offer! I can't believe I'm getting in so quickly. This guy is the best around and is usually booked up well in advance and here I am moving to the head of the line. I feel very fortunate and can't believe my hand pain is soon to be relieved.
He advised that I start pumping and banking up some breastmilk for the babies. My hubby can take the babies to the hospital and bottle feed the BM until I get into recovery. I guess they will let me BF about an hour or so after the surgery, so all should be well.
I'll have one hand done now and in another 3 weeks, go back to have the second hand done. After surgery I'll have to deal with a temporary permant splint that won't be able to come off until my stitches are removed after 8 days. He said I may lose pinching ablity and some strength temporarily and should fully recover after a month. I'm a little nervous about the whole thing only because I wonder what it will mean for taking care of the twins. My hubby will be home with me until the end of the month. Then we'll play it by ear. We'll see what happens.
Well, the babies have been really good in letting me write this long, but I don't imagine it will last much long. So I'll wrap things up.
Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be trying to pop in here more often, but I don't know how I'll do after the surgery and all. Bare with me. One day soon I will be more of a regular again. I think about you all often and wonder how you are doing.
Love and hugs...
